Still Point's Teachers

Still Point's Guiding Teacher is Koho Vince Cousino Anila. After practicing at the Zen Buddhist Temple in Ann Arbor with Ven. Haju Sunim and P'arang Geri Larkin, Koho helped found Still Point as its first Board President and one of its first seminary students. A husband and father, Koho is also a writer with a BA in English from Wayne State University. He was ordained by P'arang Geri Larkin in 2003, and follows the trails of ancient monks and nuns around South Korea as often as possible.

Anatta Brad Wilson was the guiding teacher of Full Moon Zen Buddhist Temple in Okemos, Michigan, which he founded.  A graduate of Wayne State University, Anatta was a volunteer firefighter for twenty years just outside Detroit, and retired as Director of Public Works for the City of Oak Park after twenty-nine years.  A husband, father, and grandfather, Anatta holds a second degree black belt in Aikido.  Anatta was ordained by P'arang Geri Larkin in 2004.

Brahana Sarah Addae is a graduate of Brown University (History) and has a teaching certificate from the University of Michigan and is Waldorf Certified. She is a class teacher at the Detroit Waldorf School, and her Zen training occurred at Still Point under the guidance of P'arang Geri Larkin. Urban farmer, poet, mother, dharma teacher, she is extremely grateful for the chance to practice with sangha and create ongoing transformation in Detroit.

Still Point Zen Buddhist Temple's Founding Teacher was P'arang Geri Larkin, who was ordained on July 2, 1995, following her training in the Maitreya Buddhist Seminary. P'arang's teacher was Ven. Samu Sunim, a Korean Zen master who started several temples in North America, including the Zen Buddhist Temple in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where P'arang was a Dharma teacher.

P'arang is the author of several Dharma books, including Stumbling Toward Enlightenment, Building a Business the Buddhist Way, Tap Dancing in Zen, First You Shave Your Head, Love Dharma, and The Still Point Dhammapada, as well as Chocolate Cake Sutra and Plant Seed, Pull Weed.
